Hey there!
I’ve read some great books lately and can’t wait to tell you about them! I’m also reading a really good book now that I’ll share with you next month. It’s our book club pick and I’m sucked in.
I feel like Coleen Hoover never disappoints. Once again I was sucked in and couldn’t wait to figure out what happened. This one is heartbreaking but also beautiful at the same time. I also watched the movie and it is followed the book very closely. 5/5 stars.
This one was interesting and thought provoking in the sense of what if you could change your life entirely and make different decisions. It puts into perspective what you could lose and makes you thankful for what you have. I did think parts of this book were redundant and the characters kept going over the same thought processes. 4/5 stars.
I don’t know about you, but I feel like I don’t know much about the Vietnam War. This one was about what that was like and the horrors that happened, the PTSD that came from it, and making choices about how to live your life. I really enjoyed reading this one. 5/5 stars.
This is one of those books that I’ve thought about a lot after reading it. I know next to nothing about Iran and how the women there are forced to live. It details a friendship where the women are very different and their love for each other. It also goes through how women’s rights were progressing and when a regime change happened their rights were essentially taken away from them. Such a thought provoking book. 5/5 stars for sure!
What Tash has been reading this month:
I’ve been listening to The Paradigm by Jonathan Cahn on Audible, and it’s been a really interesting listen.
One part that really caught my attention was Jehu. It made me want to go back and read 2 Kings for myself and learn more about his story and the historical context behind it.
I love finding books that make me slow down, ask questions, and dig a little deeper instead of just taking things at face value. Whether you end up agreeing with every point or not, I think it’s always worth studying for yourself. đź“–
Thanks for reading along this month! Now I want to know… what’s been on your nightstand, in your earbuds, or filling your “just one more chapter” time lately? Reply and share your recent favorites with us!
