Hey there!

My reading has slowed down so much this past month due to being so darn busy! I read two amazing books that I can’t wait to share with you. What have you been reading? I’d love to know!

First up is The Many Lives of Mama Love. This was our book club book this month. It is a memoir and it was a fantastic book to discuss. Lara Love Hardin struggled with drug addiction and subsequently received jail time for several crimes that she committed. It chronicles her struggle with addition, her time in jail, the difficulties she face after being released, and how she prevailed. It is quite a story of redemption. 5/5 stars for me.

Next up was Lady Tremaine. I flew through this one and loved it. It’s a tale of Cinderella from he step mother’s perspective. I love a good book that gives you a completely different perspective of a situation and makes you like the previous antagonist. Definitely a must read! Another 5/5 stars.

What Tash is reading this month:

The Best Little Motel in Texas by Lyla Lane

“I picked up The Best Little Motel in Texas because, honestly, the cover got me—and the story turned out to be just as fun. šŸ˜‚ It’s a quirky Texas cozy mystery about Cordelia, a Dallas librarian who unexpectedly inherits a motel in the small town she’s spent years trying to forget. The catch? It isn’t exactly a motel… it’s a brothel run by three fabulous older women. Then a local pastor turns up dead, and suddenly Cordelia and the ā€œChicksā€ find themselves trying to solve a murder.

It’s part mystery, part comedy, part small-town drama, with plenty of Texas flavor. If you like eccentric characters, small-town secrets, and a story that doesn’t take itself too seriously, this is a fun one to add to your reading list! This one was fun to read on the beach!”

Thanks for reading along this month! Now I want to know… what’s been on your nightstand, in your earbuds, or filling your ā€œjust one more chapterā€ time lately? Reply and share your recent favorites with us!
