New year, new vibe— it’s 2025! 🎉 After the hustle and bustle of the holidays, I’m looking forward to resetting, reflecting, and preparing for the new possibilities of the year ahead. Whether you’re setting goals, or taking a breather, I hope you’re feeling optimistic and excited about these new beginnings.
As always, I’ve packed this email with local finds and seasonal highlights to help you make the most of January. My goal? To create a newsletter you actually look forward to opening each month!
But first, I thought I’d share a few snapshots from last month—a little “photo dump” of life lately, both at work and off-duty. 📸
🎄 Holiday celebrations with our family were in full swing! My in-laws visited before Christmas and then we spent Christmas day at my parents house in East Texas. The holidays with two kids who believe in Santa is nothing short of magical. My oldest also started flag football and won a medal for enthusiasm the first game. I admire how hard he works at and the hustle he puts in at sports. It was a buys time of year and I’ve already gotten the house cleaned up to start 2025 fresh!
On a professional front, I had the opportunity to help a buyer close on their new build home that they started in March. It was incredible to watch their home come to life and see the finishes that they picked out. I also helped a seller sell his home as well. While this one wasn’t a quick sale and he didn’t get as much as he’d hoped, he is glad to be moving on the next chapter of his life. 2025 is gearing up to be super busy as well. I have several clients who are under contract to build their dream home. People are tired. Tired of waiting for the market to crash, tired of waiting on interest rates, tired of waiting to buy a home. Here’s what I’m noticing in our market…
- It’s currently a seller’s market because inventory is still low.
- However, if you’re thinking about buying, now could be a good time because homes are sitting on the market for longer and sellers need to sell. They are willing to make a deal!
- If you’re thinking about selling, homes are selling more slowly, and your location will dictate if sellers are getting top dollar or not. If you can wait until the spring, I would! I do have an incredible opportunity to list your home off-market in Private Collection, which 2,500 agents with Keller Williams around the DFW Metroplex have access to. It does not rack up days on the market either!
