Who knew May was National BBQ Month? Me either, but I thought it was perfect opportunity to settle the debate! The nicer weather is finally here, and that means longer days, patio season, and most importantly BBQ! But before you fire up the grill, let’s talk about the great BBQ debate that divides the country almost as much as real estate negotiations. Is BBQ a food or a verb?
And don’t even get me started on sauces!
Where’s the best BBQ in town? Here are a few local spots that deserve a taste test this month: Ellis County BBQ📍 Midlothian Known for: Brisket, jalapeño cheese sausage, and sweet potato fries Vibe: Casual Texas-style smokehouse with a bar Why locals love it: Consistent flavor, generous portions, and hometown pride Bubbas BBQ & Steakhouse📍 Ennis Known for: Cowboy Ribeye, ribs, brisket, and spicy sausage Vibe: Classic BBQ & steakhouse with a laid-back atmosphere Why locals love it: Great service, hearty meals, and a Texas-size menu Meat Church📍 Waxahachie Known for: Not a restaurant, but a legendary BBQ rubs/supply store started by Matt Pittman Vibe: Mecca for backyard pitmasters and BBQ fans Why locals love it: BBQ classes, events, and top-tier rubs used by professionals So…How do you like your BBQ? Reply and tell me your sauce of choice or if you’re team “BBQ = Grilling.” (I promise I won’t judge… much.) Happy BBQ Month! If you need a new patio for that new smoker, just hit me up! That’s a perfect excuse to go house hunting IMO! Now, who’s hungry? The countdown to our Ice Cream Social is on! Don’t miss out on all the fun this weekend! Click the link below to RSVP!
